Simply wet. Squeeze. Bounce...your way to makeup perfection!
Wet the beautyblender® with water. Squeeze out the excess liquid, using a towel if available. Bounce primer, foundation, powder, cream blush or any other complexion product across the face for flawless results.
Rea Ann Silva, the make-up artist who conceptualised the beautyblender - the world’s first edgeless make-up sponge that promises flawless application of any complexion product - has seen her simple sponge become one of the best-selling in the history of cosmetics. beautyblender works well with all types of foundations, bb creams, cc creams, concealers, highlighters, blushes, moisturizers, serums, and powders. Used damp, the material allows for smoother, more uniform blending, while its edgeless shape offers streak-free application.
Did you know the original beautyblender was first tested on the set of Girlfriends??? Silva was working on the show at the time and used it to apply and touch-up the makeup for the four female lead stars. Silva saw the need for a more durable sponge that you wouldn’t have to throw away after one or two uses. She wanted a tool that gave her clients an airbrushed look without having to actually use an airbrush machine. “A sponge that was edgeless so that it would fit the contours of the face, like the nose and eyes, and have a soft-suede like texture.”
The beautyblender features an open cell structure that fills with small amounts of water when wet. This allows the sponge to be “full” so that the makeup product sits on top of the sponge rather than being absorbed, allowing you to use less product every time. When wet, beautyblender® doubles in size and becomes even softer, returning to its original size when it air dries.
