ÖKO Skincare is a range of clinical quality, result driven, non-toxic, and organic skincare treatments. The creation of ÖKO Skincare began before founder Kerisa Weir even realized. From as early as she can remember, she’s had a fascination with skincare. At the age of 6, she remembers slathering her mom’s eye cream over her entire body and mixing her own lip balms. As she got older her fascination and love for skincare only grew. This included monthly spa visits and purchasing just about every product that promised to treat acne and hyperpigmentation.
Once Kerisa hit her mid-twenties, she started developing severe skin sensitivities and allergies along with hormonal acne. She started to realize just about everything she put on her skin made her break out in a rash or hives, including her favorite, die hard tried and true products. It got to the point where she was taking allergy medication on a daily basis. It wasn’t until one incident that put her into anaphylactic shock, that she finally had enough. She began to realize the products she put on her skin mattered just as much as the food she consumed.
Kerisa began to notice there were very few nontoxic products on the market that were professional grade, indulgent, or effective in treating her acne and hyperpigmentation. Determined to have her cake and eat it too, she created ÖKO Skincare, a range of safe and effective clinical strength natural skincare treatments. These products work to treat the most common skin concerns (acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles). Each product exudes the same power of many professional grade products on the market.
Kerisa is no longer willing to sacrifice her health for her beauty, and neither should you!
20% Lactic Acid - Adds Moisture & Reduces Scarring
One of the most effective moisturizing exfoliants. Lactic acid increases the moisture levels on the top layers of the skin, improves its barrier function and resistance to dryness and flakiness, and hydrates the skin at the cellular level to keep it supple. The exfoliating properties work on the surface of the skin to encourage cell turnover, improve skin texture, reduce scarring and hyper-pigmentation, and brighten the appearance of the skin.
20% Tartaric Acid - Smooths Skin Texture
The exfoliating properties of tartaric acid work to slough off dead cells on the skin's surface and stimulate collagen production resulting in firmer skin and a more radiant complexion.
20% Citric Acid - Brightens Skin Tone
Packed with antioxidants that help reverse aging in mature skin, citric acid is a type of alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that mildly exfoliates the skin for brighter complexion and protection against future damage.
10% of Pumpkin Enzymes - Increases Collagen Production
Packed with antioxidants, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C. Pumpkin enzymes increase cell turnover, brighten and smooth skin texture, and boosts collagen production. Pumpkin molecules are also small enough in size that when applied topically, they can penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin to combat dull complexion and hyperpigmentation.
10% Papaya Enzymes - Lightens Dark Spots
Work on the surface of the skin, which makes the papain from papaya enzymes effective in breaking down proteins. Keratinocytes, a type of protein that makes up the topmost layer of the skin, continually die and flake off. Papain dissolves the layer of dead skin cells to help regenerate the layer beneath and reveal healthier, radiant skin. Papin also helps reduce age spots, hyperpigmentation, and acne scars.
